The liveable city begins with the social component
Today, Lars Quint and Tijmen Oudejans represented Clappform at the DMI Ecosystem Day in the Municipality of Helmond.
The key message: when digitalising the physical living environment, the social aspect is still too often overlooked.
Housing Development, energy, and mobility are well-addressed. However, care, welfare, and public participation are not yet sufficiently integrated into the same picture. We combine data from the social domain, healthcare, housing, and the physical living environment into a single, unified view per district and neighbourhood. Data remains with the owner, hosted in the Netherlands.
We presented two use cases from municipalities already working with this: from a regional compass for healthy ageing in the neighbourhood, to an alliance platform where hashtag#municipality, hashtag#healthcare institutions, and hashtag#housing associations collaboratively manage the same district.
The common thread: shifting from dashboard to compass. Not just showing what has happened, but indicating which direction to take, with residents as a fully valued source.

The municipality of Arnhem uses Clappform's Housing Tracking System and CRM to monitor the progress of the energy transition. This provides clear insights into insulation measures, subsidy opportunities, and sustainability initiatives at the building level, ensuring better alignment between policy and implementation.

The Province of North Brabant uses Clappform's Data Governance platform to centrally organise data quality and data management. The platform provides insights into the governance structure, monitors data flows, and supports the safeguarding of reliable and up-to-date information.
Integrated Neighbourhood Scan - Municipality of Veldhoven
Clappform is conducting a neighbourhood scan in Cobbeek and D’Ekker in partnership with the municipality of Veldhoven to improve the living environment for elderly residents. Data and resident feedback provide insights into social cohesion, mobility, community meeting spaces, and the quality of the physical environment.
Digital Twin - Municipality of Alkmaar
Clappform is working within a consortium on the Digital Twin of Alkmaar, part of the Network of Local Digital Twins (NLDT). The project supports data-driven decision-making and forward-looking urban policy, using open standards such as OGC and Common Ground.
Control over the entire waste chain - Den Bosch
For Afvalstoffendienst 's-Hertogenbosch, Clappform integrates all systems related to waste collection and processing: from ERP and vehicle navigation to weighing systems and recycling centres. All these sources converge into a single lakehouse, a central repository where all data is stored and prepared for use. This generates reliable dashboards, operational workflow applications, and APIs that drive the daily operations of the entire organisation, from the back office to the recycling centre.
Data Management platform - Data Safe House
Clappform has developed a new Data Management platform for Data Safe House. The platform simplifies data entry, verification, and validation, making them more transparent. Users can centrally manage data and feedback, while interactive charts provide insight into energy consumption, emissions, and sustainability projects. European software and Dutch data storage guarantee data sovereignty.
