Last week, Victoria de Koeijer presented the results of her consultancy project from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her research focused on the strategic positioning of MiniBIM (Mini Building Information Model) and MiniGIM (Mini Building Area Information Model) within the rapidly developing ecosystem of Digital Twins and sustainable urban development.
MiniBIM and MiniGIM are Dutch standards that support digital collaboration and data exchange within the construction and area development sectors. The research demonstrated how these standards can contribute to the development of Digital Twins and data-driven decision-making, as well as the opportunities available to further strengthen their role within the digital ecosystem.
Thank you to all involved parties who contributed to this research. As part of her study, she conducted interviews with various stakeholders, including the Municipality of Alkmaar, the DMI Ecosystem, and Pim van Meer Redert representing VORM Holding.
