AI Lab finale at VU Amsterdam

What a finale!

This year, Clappform participated as a case organisation in the AI Lab of VU Amsterdam (School of Business & Economics). Two talented student teams spent weeks working on a challenge close to our hearts: data-driven crowd management around large-scale event venues.

The challenge? Developing an innovative, data-driven business model that enables better prediction and coordination of mobility flows around event venues, from modal split forecasting to real-time crowd management.

The students pitched their business model innovations in a "Dragons' Den" setting. Our colleague Bastiaan Kuijt joined the jury, alongside Robin van Ruitenbeek, Marco Vugts, Eric de Groot, and Erik Kommol.

Both teams delivered outstanding work, and the results speak for themselves. Out of the seven pitches, our Team 2 (Jonas Klemetsen, Karlo K., Tijmen Oudejans, Daniël Kim, Filip Woźniak, Kerem Ipekci) took first place, with Team 1 (Victoria de Koeijer,

as van Ark, Bas Verhoeff, Daan Zeldenrijk, Vincent Evers, Lars van Stenis) in a strong second place. Congratulations to all the students for your sharpness, creativity, and dedication!

Special thanks to Erik Kommol and Frans Feldberg for the invitation and the excellent organisation of this programme. It was inspiring to see how the next generation brings a fresh perspective to our challenges.

We look back on a valuable collaboration and take away concrete insights that will help us further in our mission: transforming data into actionable intelligence.

Control over the entire waste chain - Den Bosch

For Afvalstoffendienst 's-Hertogenbosch, Clappform integrates all systems related to waste collection and processing: from ERP and vehicle navigation to weighing systems and recycling centres. All these sources converge into a single lakehouse, a central repository where all data is stored and prepared for use. This generates reliable dashboards, operational workflow applications, and APIs that drive the daily operations of the entire organisation, from the back office to the recycling centre.

Data Management platform - Data Safe House

Clappform has developed a new Data Management platform for Data Safe House. The platform simplifies data entry, verification, and validation, making them more transparent. Users can centrally manage data and feedback, while interactive charts provide insight into energy consumption, emissions, and sustainability projects. European software and Dutch data storage guarantee data sovereignty.
